Upcoming film 'Jem and the Holograms' inspires two beauty lines

Opening October 23, the movie "Jem and the Holograms" already has two beauty lines to support its launch.

A four-piece set from Sephora includes an eye-shadow palette, liquid lip set, fluorescent lipstick and compact, and Manic Panic has announced four semipermanent hair dyes to match Kimber, Aja, Shana, Raya, or Jerrica Benton, for whom Jem is a rockstar alter ego.

The products are designed to honor the eye-catching hair colors of each character: Think blue, fuchsia, cotton candy pink and bright red.

"Along with the fun fashion and awesome music, the notion of being true to yourself has always been at the heart of the ‘Jem and the Holograms' story," said Simon Waters, general manager, and senior vice president of entertainment and licensing for Hasbro. "That theme is just as relevant today as it was 30 years ago."
