The Hundreds launches capsule with tattoo and graffiti artist Mister Cartoon

Streetwear brand The Hundreds has partnered with tattoo and graffiti artist Mister Cartoon for an exclusive capsule collection. The collection made its debut at DesignerCon, which ran from November 16 through 18. 

The Hundreds by Mister Cartoon collection features a range of apparel dominated by headwear, t-shirts and hoodies, as well as cut-and-sew pieces designed by Cartoon.  Decorated with a Mister Cartoon-style "Adam Bomb," the artist's signature hand style, and his cat character Bronson, the capsule's star pieces include a Starter-inspired jacket, embroidered selvedge denim, shadow plaid flannel, and a Rotocast vinyl toy of Bronson.

The toy, a collectable item for enthusiastic fans of both the brand and artist, has eyes modeled to look like the tail lights of a 1959 Chevy Impala, Cartoon's favorite car. The toy has been released in three limited-edition colorways: the blue colorway was exclusively available at DesignerCon, while the gray colorway is available only on Mister Cartoon's website and the black remains exclusive to The Hundreds and select retailers around the world. 

Born and raised in Los Angeles, the Mexican-American artist who would become Mister Cartoon began his career as a graffiti artist and airbursh artist in the 1980s. His works would later appear on the sides of lowrider cars, on album covers, in logos, in advertisements and on skin in the form of tattoos, and gained global praise and popularity for capturing the spirit of Los Angeles Pachuco, lowrider and Chicano gang culture.

Previously, Cartoon has used his style in collaboration with brands like Nike, New Era and Skid Row Tattoo. 

The Hundreds by Mister Cartoon capsule is available now at The Hundreds Los Angeles, as well as on the brand's online shop, on Mister Cartoon's online shop, and at select retailers worldwide.
