Rent the Runway and Nordstrom are strengthening their ties ahead of the holiday season.

The fashion subscription service and the retailer are expanding the number of Nordstrom locations allowing Rent the Runway (RTR) members to return items, following a pilot scheme launched earlier this year. From November 18, the ‘RTR Drop-Off Box Network' will expand from five to 29 Nordstrom stores across the US, including major cities such as San Francisco, Chicago and Dallas. Members will also be able to use exclusive Nordstrom services including styling services, and gift-wrapping.

But the collaboration doesn't stop there: Nordstrom is also set to become an RTR Platform partner -- meaning the company will contribute inventory to the service -- and the duo are exploring the possibility of creating exclusive products that could be made available to both rent and purchase.

"We have seen a massive consumer behavior shift unfold over the past several years, with our community now relying on Rent the Runway as a near daily utility," said Jenn Hyman, CEO and Co-Founder of Rent the Runway. "As our business has grown, we've seen unparalleled demand for physical experiences including the convenience of Drop-Off Boxes."

Rent the Runway, which was founded in 2009, offers shoppers access to an endless closet of designer clothes and accessories for a flat monthly fee. Subscribers can hire out everyday wardrobes such as tops, skirts, dresses, blazers and outerwear on constant rotation from a selection encompassing hundreds of designers.
