Ralph Lauren sponsors GFW masterclasses

Graduate Fashion Week has partnered with Ralph Lauren on a series of initiatives for UK and international fashion students.

A team of Ralph Lauren and Graduate Fashion Week experts visited five universities and colleges across the UK and will tour two fashion institutes in Italy to offer students guidance on their careers.

The activities include masterclasses at Northumbria University, Sheffield Hallam University, De Montfort University, Ravensbourne and Brighton University, with students from a total of 18 Graduate Fashion Week UK member universities.

And this week, for the first time, Ralph Lauren representatives will be flying to Italy where they will continue their tour with two Italian fashion institutes, Accademia Costume & Moda in Rome and Istituto Marangoni in Milan.

The talks explore a range of topics from marketing & PR career paths and how to succeed at Graduate Fashion Week to CV advice. 

Hilary Alexander, president of Graduate Fashion Week commented: “Each year GFF sees exciting and innovative fashion talent take over the catwalk and exhibitions at our main Graduate Fashion Week event. We look forward to sharing industry knowledge and advice with undergraduates from 18 of the charity’s member universities as we continue to support them entering the fashion industry.”

Graduate Fashion Week is the world’s largest showcase of BA fashion talent. The biannual show is held at the Old Truman Brewery in London, and the upcoming edition will take place on 31 May-3 June.
