Private White VC Mayfair store closes

Published
Mar 21, 2022

Another day, another sad story of a store closure in the UK. This time it’s Private White VC, which has shuttered its Mayfair store that was at number 73 Duke Street.

On Instagram, Private White VC said “after over seven incredible years we are sad to announce the closing of our flagship store in Mayfair. [It] has been such an amazing home for us and we are so grateful for all of the people we have met, dressed and befriended over the years.”

But it's not the end of the label in London as the company said it's currently “scouring the capital for a new flagship store and we hope to make an announcement in the coming months”.

Covering 2,000 square feet and having opened in 2014, it seems the shop was as much a victim of a change in strategy on the part of the landlord as of the pandemic. Reports said the closure comes as the landlord wants to take the street in a new direction.

The company also announced that its Manchester store is reopening next week and from the beginning of April it will be resuming its factory tours, which have been a popular experience.
