Palace release Ralph Lauren launch dates, teases collection

Palace Skateboards certainly knows how to generate a buzz around its collaborations and its strategy of teasing out information a small amount at a time is definitely generating headlines.
The latest news is the actual launch date of its link-up with American giant Polo Ralph Lauren, a collab that unites Palace with one of America’s biggest fashion and lifestyle corporations while also adding a more youthful, cool, streetwear edge to the Ralph Lauren offer.
The collab debuts in Europe and North America on November 9 and Japan and South Korea the day after.
The companies have also revealed what the link-up will actually look like on the product front with a video lookbook (directed by Palace) on their respective Instagram pages.
It feature’s the brand’s skaters including Chewy Cannon, Juan Saavedra, Lucien Clarke and Rory Milanes. They’re seen hurtling around a desert in some vintage 1990s cars alongside some horses (presumably a reference to the Polo Ralph Lauren link) while wearing the new collection.
The collab teaser comes just a few days after the company released another quirky video announcing the opening of its first Tokyo store that’s due on November 3 (see above). It had actually chosen Tokyo to tease the news of the Ralph Lauren collab in the first place and the city looks like being a strong market for the brand.
