Mickey Mouse gets the Bésame Cosmetics treatment for 90th birthday

Mickey Mouse turns 90 this month, and the beauty world is in full-on celebration mode.

The latest brand to honor the iconic Disney character is Bésame Cosmetics, which has unveiled an official ‘Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary Collection' that will be available to purchase from November 23 (Black Friday).

The limited-edition series features two brand new lipstick shades; ‘Mickey Red,' a cool toned red with strawberry pink undertones, and ‘Ink & Paint,' described as "a sheer blackberry lipstick with berry flavor, which goes on black and adjusts to your pH to create your own signature berry shade." The lip colors come in retro-style yellow and red bullet packaging with gold accents, illustrated with a vintage Mickey Mouse design. They can be purchased individually or as part of a set that also includes a compact mirror.

Disney and Bésame have a long history of collaboration, having previously joined forces on collections honoring "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Peter Pan." But the cruelty-free label is not the only beauty brand honoring Mickey's milestone year -- supermarket chain Target also launched a limited-edition Disney collection earlier this year, spanning everything from bubble bath to face masks, with standout products including a "L'Oréal Paris Mickey Mouse Collection Infallible Eyeliner" and a "L'Oréal Paris Mickey Mouse Collection Voluminous Extra-Volume Collagen Mascara."
