Mate opens in London's Seven Dials, includes Palm Angels collab

Danish e-bike brand Mate has opened a store in London’s Seven Dials, its first UK location. On Neal Street, it covers two floors and features the brand’s full collection.

While Mate’s core products are bikes, it also sell accessories such as bags and is known for its links to the fashion sector.

At the moment, for instance, it’s selling a collaboration collection with Palm Angles, including bikes branded for the fashion label (complete with long black leather fringes on the handles) and a capsule clothing collection.

Landlord Shaftesbury said the new store covers 2,096 sq ft and “provides an engaging and integrated retail experience, offering test rides that allow visitors to trial the high-performance e-bikes”.

The new space is also designed to be an experiential store and has a big focus on collabs, including that Palm Angels link-up.

That makes sense in an area known for its experiential spaces and strong fashion profile.

The opening also boosts the number of brands in the Seven Dials area that are now 'Certified B’ Corps, the business and certification standard under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set up by the United Nations.
