Marcolin lands Emilio Pucci license agreement

Published

Marcolin is adding a new, big name brand to its portfolio. Following agreements reached with Ermenegildo Zegna and Agnona, the Pai-owned Italian eyewear company has announced a “worldwide exclusive” license agreement with Emilio Pucci. The agreement covers "design, production and distribution of sunglasses and eyeglasses” for the Tuscan luxury brand owned by LVMH.

The license, initially set for five years, will begin in January 2015 with the launch of the first sunglasses collection. The line by Emilio Pucci will "speak to an extremely feminine woman, embracing radiant and refined aesthetics and a luxury lifestyle in which creativity and minimalism will come together,” said the company.

"The agreement allows the product reinforcement in its global dimension, aiming to grow in traditional and new markets following the Pucci brand solidification and expansion," said Pucci Laudomia, CEO of the brand, which took up eyewear 40 years ago and now aims to build a lifestyle based on the brand.

For Marcolin, it’s great news. It has managed to run away with a license previously held by the company Marchon, which has produced Emilio Pucci glasses collections since 2008. It has expanded a portfolio that already includes Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Balenciaga, Tod's and Diesel among others.
