Lush continues push into vegan beauty market with lipstick collection

Lush’s latest vegan-friendly product launch is a range of 40 eco lipsticks made using broccoli seed oil and packaged in wax.

The UK beauty retailer has been expanding its vegan credentials with several initiatives lately, incorporating vegan foundation and highlighter sticks to its makeup offering in a bid to attract a growing ethical audience.

The new lipstick range comes in the colours most requested from customers, including nudes, browns and reds. Each shade is available in two forms: a naked refill and a version packaged in PP plastic which can be recycled with Lush’s Black Pot Scheme.

The naked lipsticks are are partially dipped in peelable wax and designed to fit inside a conventional lipstick container, allowing users to reuse their old lipstick tubes.

The collection launched on Tuesday in the brand’s Oxford Street store and the new Birmingham flagship store, as well as online.
