Menswear shows will be kicking off the fashion year for 2017, closely followed by a round of haute couture shows in Paris, France, with several changes in store.

This season, certain fashion houses, such as Givenchy, are holding private presentations by appointment only. The news comes from the French Federation of Fashion and of Ready-to-Wear Couturiers and Fashion Designers -- the French fashion industry's governing body -- which has now released a provisional schedule for January's haute couture shows.

The latest round of haute couture shows runs January 22 to 26, 2017, opening with Maison Rabih Kayrouz and closing with Galia Lahav.

Although not listed on the official schedule, certain fashion houses are holding private presentations rather than traditional fashion shows this season. Atelier Versace, for example, will present its collection January 23 to 25, 2017, while Stéphane Rolland is holding a presentation event January 24. Givenchy will present its collection January 25, between 2pm and  6pm, by invitation only.
