Guess appoints Katie Anderson as new CFO

Guess?, Inc. announced on Wednesday that it has named Katie Anderson as its new chief financial officer, a role in which she succeeds Sandeep Reddy, who has been with the company for just under a decade.

 
In her new role, Anderson will be tasked with managing the finances of the LA-based fashion brand and will be responsible for the company’s treasury, as well as risk management, taxes and investor relations.
 
She joins Guess from California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), where she has served as CFO since November 2016. Prior to this she held the same position at Sprinkles Cupcakes for a short period, following an initial six-year stint at CPK, during which she served in a range of other financial roles, including SVP of corporate finance and SVP of financial planning and analysis.

The executive, who has an MBA in finance and strategy from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and a BA from Northwestern University, began her career as an analyst at Citi, before joining Moelis & Company as an associate in 2009.

I am very confident that Katie is the right leader and business partner to drive our team and our business to the next level of growth and profitability.”
 
Anderson’s appointment is effective December 2, 2019, and she will take part in Guess’ NYC investor day on December 3. Reddy will stay in the role until December 1 and will participate in the company’s third-quarter earnings call on November 26.
 
In the second quarter ended August 3, 2019, Guess reported revenues of $683.2 million, up 5.8% from the prior-year period, while the company’s net earnings totaled $25.3 million.
