European surf industry manufacturers conference starts in France October 1
The 17th edition of the Surf Summit, the conference of the European surf and action sports industry manufacturers association, EuroSIMA, will be held in Seignosse, France, on October 1-2. The event will bring together representatives of industry manufacturers and service providers, with an estimated attendance of 350 professionals.
The conference will feature nine speakers, all of them industry personalities like athletes Kai Lenny (surfing) and Mathieu Crépel (snowboarding), Thomas Rouault, founder of the Snowleader e-tail site, and Julien Vivier, Head of Market Research France/Benelux at Nielsen Sports.
This year’s Surf Summit, staged in parallel with the start of the Quiksilver & Roxy Pro France surfing event, one of the stages of the world championship tour, will also showcase some of the industry’s most innovative products and services at the ‘Surfing Lounge’ exhibition.
A gala evening, the ‘Waterman’s Ball’, will then be held on October 5, organised by EuroSIMA in the surfing resort of Hossegor.
Among the guests, athletes, industry leaders and representatives of the media. A tribute will be paid to Pierre Agnès, the former boss of Quiksilver, who was lost at sea last January.
