Eastpak's collaborations with designers multiply

Eastpak has recently presented the creative results from the fifth edition of its Artist Studio initiative, in which twelve international designers have reinterpreted the US brand's best-selling backpack.

The creations from Artist Studio 2016 - Eastpak

Alexandre Vaulthier designed an iridescent version of the backpack; Wanda Nylon a neon one; AMI Paris added a layer of sequins to it; House of Holland and Nicopanda toyed with a plush effect; Giambattista Valli with lace; and Inan created a fully fledged outfit with it.

These unique backpacks will be sold online exclusively on 1st December to support the fight against AIDS, alongside those by Vetements, Kenzo, Jacquemus, Christopher Raeburn and Zeba Safdar, this season's wildcard entry to the Eastpak Artist Studio.

Eastpak is a major player in the backpack market, especially with young consumers, and for several years has been collaborating with fashion designers to upgrade into the premium segment, an approach the brand seems to be increasingly keen on.

As for the major collaboration with Paul & Joe for Spring/Summer 2017, whose creations were presented at the label's runway show, Eastpak is expected to feature in the forthcoming shows by AMI Paris and Christopher Raeburn.
