A|X Armani Exchange appoints Patrick Robinson as creative director

Published
Mar 25, 2013

A|X Armani Exchange, the younger, urban brand in the Armani group, has appointed Patrick Robinson as its new creative director with immediate effect according to the company’s press release.

The American designer will be in charge of product development and will be giving creative guidance to the marketing division in order to give coherence to the brand. He will report directly to the brand’s CEO, Harlan Bratcher.

Patrick Robinson

Patrick Robinson was at Gap between 2007 and 2011, where he held the position of president of design for Gap Adult and GapBody. During his time at the American brand, he managed to create more fashion-forward image for the company.

Prior to that, Robinson was artistic director for Paco Rabanne from 2005 to 2007. He has also worked for Perry Ellis and Anne Klein and was head designer at Armani Collezione between 1990 and 1994. Since leaving Gap in 2011, the designer has kept a relatively low profile but recently launched a casual clothing line named Pashko.

The Armani Group has also appointed Maggie Rowton Molitor as chief merchandise officer at A|X Armani Exchange, where she will be in charge of merchandising, planning, production and visual merchandising.
