Following the opening of the Yves Saint Laurent museums in Paris and Marrakech in 2017, the label is set to exhibit the designer's early illustrations via its French exhibition site from May 29 at its former couture house on Paris' avenue Marceau.

Almost 60 works by the designer will be on view until September 9, the majority being shown for the first time. The exhibition will feature solely the drawings produced by the designer during his teenage years in Oran, Algeria, before his arrival in Paris in September 1954.

The exhibition will be open to all visitors of the 'Inaugural Display,' which has been on the programme since the opening of the Paris museum to the public.

In commemoration of the designer's death on June 1 2008, the museum will be entirely free on the day of the tenth anniversary.  It will be an opportunity for visitors to rediscover the Mondrian dress, the safari jacket and the tuxedo, all branded with the iconic YSL monogram, ahead of the upcoming exhibition 'ves Saint Laurent's Imaginary Asia,' scheduled from October 2, 2018 to January 27, 2019.
