Two shortlisted for Sainsbury chairman job

LONDON (Reuters) - Burberry (BRBY.L) Chairman John Peace and Niall FitzGerald of Thomson Reuters (TRIL.L) have been shortlisted to replace Philip Hampton as chairman of J Sainsbury (SBRY.L), the Sunday Times reported.

The newspaper said Sainsbury was hoping to pick its preferred candidate for the role by its annual general meeting on July 15. A spokeswoman for the group declined to comment on rumour and speculation.

Peace is chairman of Burberry, Experian (EXPN.L) and acting chairman of Standard Chartered (STAN.L). FitzGerald, a former Unilever CEO, is deputy chairman of Thomson Reuters (TRI.TO).
