Shiseido appoints Marc Rey as President and CEO of the Americas

Shiseido on Monday announced the appointment of Marc Rey, former President of Coty USA, as President and CEO of Shiseido Americas. Rey will oversee and manage Shiseido’s operations in the Americas as well as Shiseido’s brands in the US including Shiseido Cosmetics America, Beauté Prestige International USA, NARS Cosmetics and Bare Escentuals (BE), as well as the company’s subsidiaries in Canada and Brazil.

In addition to Rey’s role as President and CEO, he will have global brand responsibility for NARS Cosmetics and BE as the Global Strategic Brand Holder for those brands. In this position, Rey will work closely with the management teams and senior leadership of NARS and BE.
 
Rey heads to Shiseido from Coty USA, where he will remain as President until the end of August. Previously he also served as Regional Senior Vice President of North America for Coty USA. Taking up his new role on September 1, 2015, he will report to Masahiko Uotani, the President and CEO of Shiseido Co., Ltd.

Shiseido separately announced that Heidi Manheimer has resigned from her role as CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America, effective September 30, 2015.
