Gernot Lenz, the CEO of S.Oliver is leaving the post after less than a year over a difference of opinion regarding the leadership of the company. Lenz joined the clothing brand in January to succeed long-time CEO Armin Fichtel.

His responsibilities will be taken over on an interim basis by founder Bernd Freier, who was CEO until 2014. Freier is currently chairman of the advisory board of the brand.

Before joining S.Oliver, Lenz was COO at Tommy Hilfiger and PVH Europe. Prior to that, he worked for consultancy firm Bain & Company.

Despite the differences, Freier’s company has yet to formally announce Lenz’s departure and thank him for his contribution.

S.Oliver has a workforce of over 7,500 employees and generated €1.67 billion in 2016 (approximately $1.93bn).
