River Island celebrates 30th anniversary with special collection

This September, River Island is looking back at its 30 years of existence with the launch of a 90-piece capsule collection for women, men and children inspired by some of its finest fashion moments.

The British clothing brand will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with a range of premium party styles and day-to-night clothing, accessories and footwear.

“After thirty years, I’m very proud to see River Island still standing at the forefront of the British fashion industry. 2018 heralds an exciting milestone in our company’s history and distilling the essence of River island’s identity in to clothing; the very lifeblood of the brand, is a fitting celebration of our heritage,” says Bernard Lewis, who co-founded the brand with his brothers in 1988 as part pf the Lewis family business.

There will be 26 womenswear pieces in the capsule collection, including leader and suede outerwear, a leopard fur lined parka and embroidered jeans, as well as embellished cat beanies and faux fur bike boots.


River Island


The 18-piece menswear collection fuses high-end materials and slim cuts for a masculine and modern look. Monogrammed shirts and ornate jersey matching sets are cut from plush fabrics, while a two-button tuxedo offers an eveningwear option. Hero outerwear includes a biker jacket and cropped bomber jacket, and leather Chelsea boots complete the range.

Prices for the men’s and women’s collections range from £25-£250, while childrenswear will retail for £10-£160.
The RI30 collection launches in stores and online from Friday.
