Pronovias names Amandine Ohayon as new CEO

Pronovias has announced the appointment of Amandine Ohayon as new chief executive officer. Oyahon will assume the new role at the Spanish bridalwear company on 1 March 2018, taking over from Andres Tejero.

Amandine Ohayon has a wealth of experience in the luxury goods industry, having led the international expansion strategies of several brands and overseen product launches, rapid store expansion and international brand development. She has been also responsible for sponsorship and advertising, events and digital marketing efforts for some of the industry’s largest companies including L’Oréal, Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Shu Uemura, Biotherm, Armani and YSL.

She was most recently managing director of L’Oréal Luxe for the UK and Ireland, where she focused on the development of a multi-channel strategy and boosting the digital communication and HR teams. In her new role as CEO of Pronovias, she will be tasked with spearheading the group’s global growth.

Jean-Baptiste Wautier, Pronovias chairman and PC Partners managing director thanked Andres Tejero for his service and praised Amandine Ohayon’s “experience, managerial skills and leadership”, which will enable the company “build on what has been accomplished so far, and accelerate Pronovias’s development, particularly in North America.”

42-year old Amandine Ohayon cut her teeth at LVMH before joining L’Oréal in 1999 as head of product for Lancôme. Over the past 18 years, she has held several positions at the beauty group, such as managing director of YSL and Armani Beauty for the UK and Ireland. In 2014, she was named managing director of L’Oréal Luxe in the region, where she had responsibility for 17 brands and 3,200 people. This role was focused on leading a digital transformation, store expansion programme, partner relationships and the creation of a collaborative business culture.

Based in Barcelona, Pronovia is a leading bridalwear retailer with a presence in over 90 countries. Its bridal gowns and occasion dresses are stocked in over 3,800 stores as well as in 45 standalone Pronovias locations.
