Paul Smith capsule pays tribute to Anni Albers

Paul Smith has created a capsule collection inspired by the work of the textile artist, Anni Albers, known in particular for her weaving. The capsule coincides with an exhibition of the artist's work at London's Tate Modern, October 11 to January 27. 

Paul Smith has joined forces with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation to design a capsule collection directly inspired by the German-born American textile artist's most emblematic designs. The result is four knitwear pieces featuring geometric stripes and lively colors.

The capsule comprises two cashmere sweaters -- one for men, one for women -- as well as a reversible lambswool scarf and blanket. The designs all mirror the motifs from one of Anni Albers' most emblematic creations.

The Paul Smith x Anni Albers collection is available via the Paul Smith e-store and will land in the brand's boutiques from October 11. The scarf retails for €155, the blanket is priced €375 and the sweaters start from €535.
