Touma has a wealth of experience in the luxury footwear segment, having spent more than five years at Bergdorf Goodman and previously six years at Bloomingdale’s.

At Net-a-Porter, she will lead the global buying strategy from the high-end e-tailer’s London headquarters. She is expected to join the team in April.

The company, which sells footwear and accessories from top brands including Gucci, Saint Laurent and Balenciaga, also announced the promotion of Billie Faricy-Hyett to buying manager for handbags, accessories and beauty.

And Thalia Tserevegou has been named as new buying manager for shoes at the company.

Global buying director, Elizabeth von der Goltz commented: “I am thrilled to be able to expand and recognize my team through these new appointments and promotions. Reinforcing our core team is essential to us shaping and developing these growing areas of our business while adopting a progressively tactical approach to the integral categories of shoes, handbags and accessories.”
