Curated online marketplace Moda Operandi has launched Moda Operandi Man, a male-focused online destination where men can pre-order pieces from emerging talents and heritage brands straight from the runway.

Deborah Nicodemus, CEO of Moda Operandi, said in a statement, "We saw strong interest in the menswear category over that last two holiday seasons, which led us to the decision to introduce Men's as a standalone business. Our focus is to offer him exactly what he wants through a curated selection of products that fit his lifestyle."

Moda Operandi Man will launch with 50 brands and designers including Prada, Maison Margiela, Givenchy, Ralph Lauren, Thom Browne, Off-White, Balmain, Lanvin and Burberry. Brands were selected for history, relevance, aesthetic and quality as well as how they would compliment the women's business.

Moda Operandi expects its existing female customers will begin shopping the site for the men in their lives, essentially serving as brand ambassadors to introduce the concept to men. The company also expects luxury-minded men to adopt the site through their own discovery.

The site has been redesigned to offer a dual-gender shopping experience, with trunk shows, curated editorial stories, exclusive capsules and core brands made easily navigable from the landing page.

Moda Operandi launched seven years ago as a women's site designed to offer the chance to pre-order the next season's styles as soon as they were seen on the runway. The site now features in-season product as well as recommendations from personal stylists.

Moda Men's first focus will be on Milan and Paris Men's Fashion Weeks in late June.
