Messe Frankfurt to launch TexworldDenim at September Texworld show

German trade show organiser Messe Frankfurt has created TexworldDenim, a new event for denim specialists which previously exhibited at the Texworld textile show and the Apparel Sourcing show.

Jeans and denim specialists will exhibit at TexworldDenim's first edition in September 2017 - Texworld

The new event's first edition will be held at the September 2017 session of Texworld, with 80 exhibitors signed up for the show, between fabric producers and denim garment manufacturers. Messe Frankfurt's objective is to appeal to a cross-section of the industry, from yarn producers to private label manufacturers, in order to "truly reflect the predominance of denim" in the industry.

"From the [Texworld] show's inception, we have been hosting jeans manufacturers in a dedicated section. For the September 2017 session, we have understood the need to bring together fabric producers and apparel manufacturers in a common area, in order to foster business synergy and allow visitors to optimise their time at the show," said the President of Messe Frankfurt, Michael Scherpe, who underlined how the number of visitors has been growing in double-digits for the show's last four sessions.

"Our creative directors Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud have conceived a new way of showcasing the products on offer, by opening up the exhibitors' booths as much as possible, within an energetic, amusing context," he added. The setting for TexworldDenim will in fact differ from that of Apparel Sourcing and Texworld, its booths using innovative metal furniture. The new section will also run its own trends forum, and have a dedicated area for meetings and conferences.

The Texworld and Apparel Sourcing shows will be held in Paris from 18th to 21st September 2017, at the Le Bourget exhibition centre. Last year's September edition attracted 13,591 visitors, 80% of them coming from outside France.
