Khalid fronts Forever 21 summer 2017 digital campaign

The clothing chain has signed up the singer -- who grew up in El Paso, Texas -- to front its new 2017 summer digital campaign. As well as starring in the latest Forever 21 menswear campaign, Khalid will also be the face of the F21xMusic platform, showcasing artists with fresh, compelling voices.


A first campaign video has been released via the social media accounts of the brand and the singer. Wearing pieces from the new collection, with a notable focus on light-colored denim, Khalid is seen penning a track in front of a US flag, dancing, swinging a mic and wearing headphones.

"We're so excited to collaborate with Khalid, a young artist whose music and style resonates with a large, diverse audience," says Linda Chang, Vice-President of Merchandising for Forever 21. 

The new Forever 21 men's collection, available via the brand's website, includes a wide variety of ready-to-wear garments, shoes and accessories. Standout pieces include a selection of denim jackets, T-shirts and swimwear. Prices range from $14 to $37.

Nineteen-year-old Khalid scored a hit with the single "Location," from his debut album "American Teen," released in March 2017.
