Karlie Kloss is named the new face of Swarovski

Karlie Kloss has been named as the new face of Swarovski.

The US model replaces the brand's former face and spokesperson Miranda Kerr.

Swarovski's Creative Director Nathalie Colin commented on the news saying, "Karlie is someone young women look up to -- her use of social media makes her accessible to a broad audience.... Karlie has an innate understanding of the digital world; we can't wait to leverage her creativity to share inspiring stories about our jewelry and capture those emotional moments in life."

The new move will see Kloss as the face of the brand for the next two years, appearing in outdoor, television, digital and print campaigns, with print ads appearing in the September issues of national US magazines.

Kloss can also be seen in a short, light-hearted video for the brand announcing the news, and attempting to master the pronunciation of Swarovski. The video is launching on the brand's social media channels.
