Gucci Westman is launching her own beauty line

Celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman is channeling her expertise into a new beauty line.

The creative, who is currently consulting for skincare specialist brand SKII, is set to launch the Westman Atelier brand in April, Women's Wear Daily (WWD) reports. The debut collection, which is being launched in partnership with her husband David Neville and will go on sale at westman-atelier.com and at Barneys New York, will comprise six different products, including foundation, blush, highlighter and contour sticks.

"I'm looking for transparency and authenticity," Westman told the publication in an interview. "I try to combine makeup and skin care, which is actively doing something, but in a gentle manner. I don't see the need to just color and correct. I want to fix." The brand's website promises "cleanly formulated, performance-first make-up that actually improves your skin while making it look flawless."

Westman is well placed for her new venture. In addition to working for a star-studded client base that includes Drew Barrymore, Julianne Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway, her previous high-profile positions include being Artistic Director at Lancome and Global Artistic Director at Revlon.

Westman is the latest of several big-name makeup artists to design her own line of cosmetics, with Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath both making the transition to household name entrepreneurs over the past few years.
