Glastonbury Festival fashion: Grunge and glam

Full-on grunge, maximalist jewelry, athleisure, 70s vinyl and ultra sheer looks were among some of the top looks rocked by festival-goers at the UK's biggest summer celeb fest. This year's guestlist included Katy Perry, Charlie XCX, Solange, UK grime and hip hop artist Stormzy and a smattering of Hollywood actors.

This year's field-based festival of Music and Arts offered its fair share of sheer looks. Katy Perry brought showgirl glamour to the event as she owned the stage in a revealing crystal-studded catsuit featuring an eye motif by Johnny Wujek. The US pop star accessorized the shamelessly sexy look with a see-through purple PVC winged harness and baseball cap by Zana Bayne and bronze Katy Perry Collection sneakers.

UK artist Charlie XCX took the transparent theme in a different direction with streetnic chic workout gear. She paired a clear blue-trimmed jacket with 90s mesh cycling shorts and denim stretch shoe boots.

Grunge rarely looks out of place at the Glastonbury Festival and this year was no exception. The 2017 twist? Johnny Depp and The Pretenders' lead vocalist Chrissie Hynde glammed up the look with lashings of statement jewelry.

Chrissie Hynde donned pale-wash ripped jeans with a low-slung Western belt and Motörhead England tee for her stage look.

A tribute to the Bristolian penchant of old for the 'bigger the better' gold hoop earrings? Hind opted for a pair of twisted gold hoops and layered necklaces while the U.S actor rocked a talisman pendant, chunky rings on every finger and multiple safety-pin earrings, as he played guitar on stage with Kris Kristofferson.

Depp rolled out the ultimate grunge wardrobe. Head-to-toe black was a favorite of the star's -- along with punky message t-shirts and a wide-brimmed fedora.

It is safe to say that 70s fashion has never left Glastonbury. Vinyl trousers were this year's most noteworthy wardrobe blast from the past. Solange and US sister trio Haim pulled off the rock star's glossiest style staple to perfection. For her big Glastonbury debut -- six years after big sister Beyoncé -- Solange took to the Pyramid stage in wet-look wide-legged pants while Glasto' regulars Haim chose shiny black bell bottoms.
