Footwear chain Omoda to launch same-day delivery

Dutch Footwear chain Omoda will launch same-day delivery. The service will become available in March and will be in collaboration with German logistics company DHL. Omoda previously partnered with Dutch parcel company PostNL.

With the new service, Omoda customers who order before noon will be able to receive their order on the same day. Next day deliveries need to be ordered by midnight, previously the deadline for next day delivery was 10 pm.  In addition, Omoda’s evening deliveries, which are currently charged at €5.20, will become free of charge from March onwards.

Omoda will also simplify the return procedure: customers can either choose for DHL to pick-up their package at home or opt to return their package at a DHL parcel shop or parcel station, which is available 24 hours a day.

According to Omoda, the collaboration with DHL is one of the steps that the company will take this year to optimize its customer service.

Omoda offers footwear for men, women and children. Available brands include: Adidas, Brunotti, Clarks, G-Star, Michael Kors, Nikkie and its own labels Omoda and Omoda Kubuni. The chain operates 21 physical stores across the Netherlands, of which four are outlets, and a shop in Antwerp, Belgium. In 2007 Omoda launched a web shop for Dutch customers, followed by online stores for the Belgian, German, French and Austrian markets as well as an global website, offering international shipping.
