Empreinte chooses London for first overseas boutique

French lingerie label Empreinte, after opening a monobrand store in Paris in 2012, and two more in France, in Lille and Strasbourg, travelled to London a few weeks ago to open its first overseas store. The 80 m2 shop is located in the city’s central Mayfair district, at 56 South Molton Street, and it is the first directly operated international retail outlet for the French label specialised in bras for large cup sizes.
 

As for the three French stores, Empreinte deployed its Atelier Lingerie retail concept in London, with interiors designed by Nantes-based architects studio François Bureau et Associés, featuring glass display stands for the label’s lingerie. The store also offers customers the option of personalising and embroidering the models they choose.

Empreinte is available at 1,000 multibrand retailers in France and 2,000 outside France, and has also introduced the Atelier Lingerie concept at Parisian department store Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, featuring dedicated fitting rooms. At the two other department stores currently stocking Empreinte, Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche in Paris and Bergdorf Goodman in New York, the label instead operates traditional retail corners.
