Bon-Ton Stores elects CEO William Tracy to Board of Directors

The Bon-Ton Stores on Friday announced that its Board of Directors has elected CEO William Tracy to the Board, effective immediately.

 
The Wisconsin-based company named Tracy the CEO in May 2017, with his appointment effective on August 25, 2017. Prior to this appointment, he served as Chief Operating Officer for close to two years.
 
Tracy also held executive roles at Hudson’s Bay Company, including Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, Logistics & Omni Channel Fulfillment, and Global Sourcing, and Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, Omni Channel Fulfillment & Information Services before joining Bon-Ton. His resume also includes Lord & Taylor and Nine West.

The addition of Tracy to the Board comes days after Bon-Ton announced plans to close five stores by the end of the year. The company reported a net loss of $33.2 million in the second quarter, which is a slight improvement over a net loss of $38.7 million in the first quarter.
