Beiersdorf chooses a new manager for Asian market

Published
May 28, 2009

Beiersdorf have placed James Wei at the top of its group’s cosmetics activities in China, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, India and Singapore. The business will rely on him to develop its activity in Asia.

Beiersdorf - Nivea

Of Taiwanese origin, James Wei formerly oversaw Avon’s involvement in the Asia Pacific region. After having worked at Procter & Gamble for more than twenty years in numerous roles he held the position of vice-president and was responsible for the general management of the Chinese market.

He now joins the Board of Directors at Beiersdorf, where he will work in concert with Peter Kleinschmidt, who is concerned with the management of the group’s Japanese, African, Australian, Pacific and Middle-Eastern involvements.
