Amazon UK to carry SJP shoes from October

Amazon Fashion in the UK is to cary the Sarah Jessica Parker shoe collection in the coming season with the autumn/winter 2017 offer available on the site from October.

The rollout comes almost a year after the collection was launched into the US market and will include three exclusive colours of one of the line’s classic shoe styles.

The e-tailer said the line-up will include a variety of both new and signature styles of pumps, heels and boots with the three new colours (Dash, Flirt and Wink) being added to the Fawn court shoe. Customers who buy a pair will also receive an SJP dust bag signed by Sarah Jessica Parker.

The actress-turned-fashion entrepreneur said it’s a major opportunity to be able to collaborate with the e-tail giant in Europe and that the firm offers “great support” to its brands and designers.

Amazon Fashion Europe’s VP Susan Saideman added that the company has high hopes for the UK launch with previous collections having been “in high demand” in the US.

Amazon is putting major support behind its fashion offer as the company targets fast growth globally in the fashion sector.

Key to this is attracting major name brands to the site. While celebrity-linked brands in general have proved less appealing in recent years than they did a decade ago, Sarah Jessica Parker, with her strong fashion links, has proved to be one of the more enduring celerity-driven labels.
