Adidas finally wins over Paul Pogba

At Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena on Wednesday 16th March, footballer Paul Pogba will be playing with Adidas boots. Nothing exceptional in this. Only, it will be the first time that the Juventus Turin player will be remunerated for doing so.

The young French national team player, a rising football star, was until now one of the rare top flight players without a link to a sports outfitter. He played with the boots he preferred. On Wednesday, Adidas and the footballer have made official the information which had been circulating for several days on sports media: Paul Pogba has signed for the three stripes' brand. He became part of a posse of Adidas players including Leo Messi, Gareth Bale, Thomas Müller, Luis Suárez, James Rodríguez, Diego Costa and Mesut Özil.

This marks the end of a long battle among major international sports outfitters to sign up the player. According to rumours in the Italian press, the contract is worth up to €40 million for 10 years.
As for the product, Paul Pogba will initially play with the Ace 16+ Purecontrol football boot model, featuring his name and colours, black and gold.

"I love music, dance and fashion, but my greatest passion is football. I need a brand that can offer me enough room to express myself and explore new horizons," explained the footballer in the brand's press release. In the future, the plan is for a complete, Pogba-endorsed line.
