A.S. Watson names Niek Schipper as its Trading Director Health and Beauty Benelux

A.S. Watson Health and Beauty Benelux has appointed Niek Schipper as Trading Director Health and Beauty Benelux. Schipper will be responsible for the assortment and the purchasing- and promotion strategy of the drugstore chains Kruidvat (the Netherlands and Belgium) and Trekpleister (the Netherlands). The appointment of Schipper is effective from 1 November 2017.

Schipper joins A.S. Watson from Procter & Gamble (P&G), where he fulfilled various commercial and marketing positions in the past 16 years. At P&G he was responsible for the portfolio of P&G at A.S. Watson Benelux. In the last three years, Schipper has been employed at P&G's European headquarters in Switzerland as Brand and Sales Director for the skin and personal care portfolio in Europe and India, Middle East and Africa.

Schipper succeeds Kees Buur, who will resign from 1 January 2018. Buur joined the company in 1990.
